God Bless our WWII Generation

They answered the call. The mission was clear in Europe and Asia. Thank them... Honor them... Remember them...and please pray for our brave men and women serving today and their families.

My Dad fought in the Pacific theatre during the second World War; all my life that's made me so proud. And so grateful, because I was born 20 years after he came home!
:-P
Now I've got nieces and nephews in the military, and they're always in my thoughts. Thank you for this wonderful post!

My old man was an Officer in the US Merchant Marine during WW11. He went to OCS at the Merchant Marine Academy in either 41 or 42. I wasn't around until 43 so don't remember much. Lots of stories but he didn't tell many but Mom knows. She'll be 90 this next January. Dad passed away in 78.

Thank You Gene for remembering and the great picture I am swiping.
