It's Friday! Let's Dance!!!

Well, like many people a song can take you back to a place and time in your past. This song takes me back to the red light district of Pusan, South Korea's "Texas Street" (Cho-ryang Dong) 1974. Bars, girls, sailors, Marines, MP's, and the Shore Patrol. The USS Midway was in port and I was on duty. Many of the bars were playing this song. It was an exciting and raucous time. This is the song that takes me back there, every single time I hear it. Do you have one of those songs? If so, drop the link in comments and have a great weekend! It's Friday! Let's Dance!!!

I remember it well... The Doobie Brothers, and CCR weren't around all that long, and had a ton of hits...

..... brother, I have MANY of those songs....... but fortunately my local radio station never plays them!......

...... but, yeah, I know where you are coming from.........

....... music is a magical thing, I guess....... the more we listen to the oldies?....... the more we stress........

I've been listening to "Radio Margaritaville" on XM in my truck and on the computer at home. They play an incredible mix of music you haven't heard in forty years, not just the Buffett stuff.

But the songs that Great Reader risten to are great!

Somehow that disturbs me terribly to see the trucks singing it. I'm not sure why.
