In 1967 my Elder Sister Carol and her wonderful husband, Bill, took us kids to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in their 1966 Pontiac Tempest. It was this time of year when we went. For me, it was one of the best times of my life! The boardwalk was fun and the body surfing was great. So this one is for you...Carol and Bill. I love you both so very much. Thanks. It's Friday! Let's dance!!!

I was missing my Friday tune, Thanks Gene!
I love memories.
My contribution to your dancing blasts from the past? The Frug,!
Happy Friday! Let's dance! :D
I'm with the Admiral. They had all the same stuff at the amusement park my folks took us as kids.
The pizza was great, but the water smelled of rotten eggs from all the sulfur content. We amused ourselves until we passed out every time.
This post makes my day. Thank you.
My soon to be famous quote: "If I can remember it, I didn't have as much fun as I thought I did"...
Great blog. I'm in!
Good choice of tunes once again!
It was an hour drive from Oakland in a VW convertible Bug, back in 1969 for us. I can remember the traffic piling up just past San Jose, up in the Coast mountains and that great feeling when you entered Santa Cruz.
Really good times!
I will be back in California in October, I think a visit to the Beach and Boardwalk will be necessary.
