I wonder how things would have turned out if we'd gone with Churchill's plan which was to come in through the back side - the soft underbelly that is now all the crackastans.
I think FDR caved to Russia and made things a lot more difficult and deadly on this day.
Regardless, it certainly doesn't take away from the incredible awesomeness of all these men on June 6.
